At many\norganisations, garments or uniforms are mandatory. Not just in the healthcare\nsector or industry, but also in many other branches. First, in most cases\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Furthermore, comfortability is\nan important aspect for users. Last, corporate identity is important and the\nfact that users enjoy wearing smart uniforms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All organisations, ranging from small to large, face the same issues.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At LCT-Textilligence,\nwe too recognise this issue. It starts with purchasing garments for our\ntechnical team. On the first purchase we decide based on safety, comfort and\ncolour. But replacement is due after a number of years. Then we face some\nemployee turnover. “I’m not wearing that old polo shirt…”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that\nmoment you, as entrepreneur or responsible employee, realise that it is not all\nthat easy. The need for garments registration is real. Personal packages, Excel\nfiles with smart schedules and grabbing the wrong garments from the inventory\nare all part of the job when there is no smart registration system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outsourcing is an option<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many\norganisations outsource these processes to a laundry service once the\norganisation grows to a certain size. A smart option, you then lease the\ngarments just like you would when leasing a car for a specified time and\npotentially number of wash cycles. Purchasing and inventory administration is\nmanaged by the laundry service. So too is the maintenance and cleaning. Laundry\nservices always use registration systems based on RFID chips. Nowadays the\nstandard chip is a UHF label. The benefit is that an entire batch of laundry\ncan be registered in a matter of seconds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
